Method of Revision for JEE Main.

It is indeed a question that arises in every student’s mind. If you have just a few days then confusion will arise about which subject to be done and how it has to be done. The answer is simple, that is planning the study strategy. By now you would have known the strengths and the weaknesses. You are aware of all the chapters it is revision. To make this effective just make a timetable and specify the chapters, topics, and subject. For things to be right and organized students have to have an organized plan.

Revising the entire syllabus is a lengthy task. You might not be able to cover the whole syllabus in a short time and you will be left out without revising those topics. You have to divide the syllabus wisely with proper time management and also executing accordingly will make you revise all the chapters and topics systematically. Your revision will evaluate your preparation in the previous months. If you would have understood and learned the chapter thoroughly then revisions are interesting and will be quick.

JEE Main can be easy if the conceptual understanding is thorough. Revision has to be done regularly and you cannot afford to forget anything. Revision should be continuous and the best method of having a correct revision is by taking JEE Mian Chapter-wise Practice Tests and JEE Main Mock Tests.

Your strategy should be so accurate that the entire syllabus is covered with efficiency and within the time. So it is not about just the pain but how smartly you make the plan is important.

The sections to be revised are the Revision of important chapters, Revision of your weak chapters, Revision of the whole syllabus. All these should be kept in mind and make a time slot for each. This will help you to cover everything without much stress.

Revision method of important chapters.

The chapters which are essential from the exam point of view must be tackled first. This is to sure that you will not lose on the marks and you will answer confidently. If you are able to answer questions of difficulty level from these chapters you can get more marks. This can be possible only if you are thorough with the detail and the minute concepts of the chapters.

Some of the chapters can be easily prepared while you are doing the board preparation. The chapters are  Oscillations, Wave Optics, Photoelectric Effect, Electromagnetic Waves, Heat and Thermodynamics, Gravitation, Ray Optics. Error and Instrument Analysis. Semiconductors.

Some of the tough chapters that need more concentration are Electrostatics, Magnetic effects of Current and Magnetism, Current Electricity and Capacitors, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Kinematics, Properties of Matter, Bohr’s Atomic Model, Rotation, Waves and Sound,

The same way the easy chapters for Chemistry which can be prepared along with the board preparation are Chemical Kinetics, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Electrochemistry, Nuclear and Surface Chemistry, Coordination Compound, Aromatic Compounds, d-Block Elements, Alkyl Halides, Gaseous, and Liquid State

The difficult chapters which consume little more time are Isomerism, Thermodynamics, General Organic Chemistry, Aldehydes and Ketones, P-Block Elements, Carboxylic Acid, and its Derivatives.

The easy chapters in Mathematics are Vectors, Circle, Determinant and Matrices, Straight Line, 3-Dimensional Geometry, Sequence and Series, Probability Distribution (Binomial + Mean and Variance).

The difficult chapters which have to be wired out are Limits, Continuity and Differentiability, Conic Sections, Quadratic Equations, Functions, Binomial Theorem and M.I., Complex Numbers, Definite Integral and Area under the Curve, Application of Derivatives.

This is the time you have to analyze your weakness in the chapters and work more on those. As the JEE Mains have the negative marking there is no question of guesswork and you have to be sure of the solutions.

Once your board exams are over, there is no time to be wasted. Come back and start the mock test. Now when you give the mock tests you have to remember and analyze Chapters and concepts you got incorrect, for the topics of the chapters you took more time, Chapters you could not answer. After analyzing, then get back to those first which you could not answer, next to that one which you took more time, and last the topics which you got wrong. This way practicing and improving the mistakes is the key to success.
